Mittens

Mittens is a kitten who is abandoned on the streets and finds Bolt, who got lost by accident. Mittens will teach Bolt to live like a dog after having been a big TV star.

Mittens is convinced that humans do not want their pets because they abandon them. As the plot progresses everything changes and there is a happy ending for the two animals who end up living together with Penny, Bolt´s caregiver who never stopped looking for him. Now they all live together in a loving home.

The movie is called Bolt: A Dog Out of Series and was released in 2008. It was directed by Chris Howard and Byron Howard, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures If you haven't seen it, check out the trailer from the link below:

In it you are invited to take care of the kitten Tom from the time he is a puppy until he becomes an adult. Tom, the world's most popular cat, can repeat words you say into your device's microphone. There is an application called “My Virtual Dog” in the Apple App Store. There you can find exercises to show your family that you can take care of a real companion animal. Check it out and experiment so you can adopt a puppy that will become your best friend.
